Its narrow streets are lined by double-story town-houses with vivid gardens, interspersed with cultural centers, studios and restaurants surrounding its most important architectural gem - the Santa Teresa Convent.
Escadaria Selarón for to Convento de Santa Teresa Staircase that gives access to the Santa Teresa Convent with 215 steps covered in ceramic mosaic in green, yellow and blue, a homage of Selarón, the plastic artists to the Brazilian population.
Besides the cracked colored tiles, the laces of staircase also show fullsize tiles, from various parts of the world. Thus it became a collection of tiles with almost 1,000 different pieces. Survivor of romantic times, protected as historical heritage the narrow streets with old tramcars, charming vehicle date from the 19th century, still perfectly preserved track, takes visitors to a re-reading of the past.

Parque das Ruínas (Ruins Park) - is a public park with an art gallery built around the ruins of a mansion, located in the Santa Teresa directed to the production and dissemination of various forms of artistic expression and an amazing viewpoint of Rio de Janeiro City.
The Bondinho (trolley) de Santa Teresa - is an experience that should not miss to see it. The only remaining streetcar line connects Santa Teresa to downtown área.
The Selarón steps - are one of the most famous tourist attractions just bordering the neighborhood of Lapa, a trip to Santa Teresa would not be complete without taking a photo on these iconic flights. The steps were designed by Chilean artist Jorge Selarón and feature intricate, brightly colored mosaic tiles.
Lapa Arches - an aqueduct was built in the middle of the 18th century, is an impressive example of colonial architecture.
Downtown Rio - with a rich legacy of culture and architectural heritage, which is evident from the impressive historic buildings as the Teatro Municipal (Opera Theater and Cafeteria Colombo (Coffee Shop).

Largo dos Guimarães - a cozy square, which is considered to be the center of Santa Teresa neighborhood, features some trendy restaurants, cozy cafeterias and stylish handicrafts shops.
