The daily SAARA market is a must-visit attraction for travelers and locals looking for fabulous bargains among the impressive labyrinth of stalls... Over six hundred stores, SAARA sells everything from toys, clothing, footwear, party goods, Carnival costumes, electronics, home decoration and appliances – all for very reasonable prices.
On the first Saturday of the month the Feira Rio Antigo, also known as the Feira do Lavradio, is famous for its antiques and some entertainments.

Farmers markets are set up by the vendors on or along city side streets, a long line of individual stalls and offer a stunning variety of exotic tropical fruits and vegetables.

Also sold at some markets are cooked salgados (salty snacks) such as Pasteis, sugar cane juice and tapioca, fresh coconut water.

While we’ll carefully select the most interesting finger food along our tour, we’ll also reach the SAARA Market in downtown, so well stocked and bustling, one could be forgiven for thinking they had stumbled upon a bazaar in Istanbul with a huge selection and affordability is the main reason to attract lot of people. SAARA is normally open Monday to Friday from 9 AM to 6 PM and Saturday from 9 AM to 2PM.

If by any chance you are in Rio de Janeiro when the fair is on, which is in the first Saturday of the month, at Feira do Lavradio, don´t miss the opportunity to go and see lots of beautiful things to buy, good music to listen and good food and some entertaiments.
