The daily SAARA market is a must-visit attraction for travelers and locals looking for fabulous bargains among the impressive labyrinth of stalls... Over six hundred stores, SAARA sells everything from toys, clothing, footwear, party goods, Carnival costumes, electronics, home decoration and appliances – all for very reasonable prices.
On the first Saturday of the month the Feira Rio Antigo, also known as the Feira do Lavradio, is famous for its antiques and some entertainments.
Sundays, only, the Hippie Market with crafts, paintings, hand made arts, souvenirs, Tshirts....

6 HOUR TOUR:

Farmers markets are set up by the vendors on or along city side streets, a long line of individual stalls and offer a stunning variety of exotic tropical fruits and vegetables.
Will be a great experience to have the flavor and juiciness of the fruit market strawberries, melons, and mangoes are simply amazing. It's like eating candy.
Also sold at some markets are cooked salgados (salty snacks) such as Pasteis, sugar cane juice and tapioca, fresh coconut water.
A places to visit in the morning to sample or buy exotic fruits and vegetables or to simply take in the sights and smells.
While we’ll carefully select the most interesting finger food along our tour, we’ll also reach the SAARA  Market in downtown, so well stocked and bustling, one could be forgiven for thinking they had stumbled upon a bazaar in Istanbul with a huge selection and affordability is the main reason to attract lot of people. SAARA is normally open Monday to Friday from 9 AM to 6 PM and Saturday from 9 AM to 2PM.

TO 8 HOURS TOUR:
If by any chance you are in Rio de Janeiro when the fair is on, which is in the first Saturday of the month, at Feira do Lavradio, don´t miss the opportunity to go and see lots of beautiful things to buy, good music to listen and good food and some entertaiments.
If in Rio on the weekend, Feira de São Cristóvão  plenty of shops and stalls selling everything from cooking pans to clothes to traditional Northeastern foods and craft work, the emphasis is on fun and enjoyment and as soon as you arrive you will sense a real party atmosphere, real fun happens on the weekend with music and dancing.
